At Whyteleafe, we have a team of highly qualified, committed and enthusiastic instructors. Each month our students benefit from working both with regular teachers, as well as guest industry professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experiences.


Nalaka Swarnathilake, Founder and Director of Whyteleafe Academy who is the creator behind popular children’s teledramas Dangamalla and Anne. He excels as a director, script-writer and producer in multiple media like Radio, Stage and Television. Nalaka was a journalist by profession before he starts Whyteleafe Academy.

He is a visiting lecturer at Sri Lanka Foundation Institute for journalism, training, coaching and leadership courses. He is an author of “Obe Watinakama Wadi Karaganna”, which is the first book about event management in Sinhala.


Harshika Ratnayake, a Lecturer at University of Kelaniya and a well-known choreographer who has mastered several dancing styles. She has choreographed professional theatre productions and holds workshops across the country.

Suchintha Weerawardana, a Dancing and Sinhala teacher by profession works at Colombo International School. She was also worked as a Dancing and Drama teacher in the senior section of Musaeus College from 1998 to 2007. Suchintha has Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Kelaniya and Diploma holder in Drama and Theatre and Child Psychology at the National Institute of Education.

Dinithi Doranegoda excels in multiple arts; Dancing in Kandyan, Bharatha Natyam, Katak, Music and Drama. She is also a Vocal and Kathak Dance Visharad. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sinhala Language from the University of Colombo and is currently studying for a Master of Arts in Linguistics at the University of Kelaniya. She is a visiting lecturer at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University and working as a teacher at the Elizabeth Moir School.


Arundathi Koliyabandara is an award-winning presenter who works as a Researcher at Department of Chemistry, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She holds B.Sc.(Hons) Environmental Management and Forestry,  Dip in IT and E- commerce. Currently she works as a freelance presenter on Derana TV and National Lotteries Board. Arundathi was awarded as the Best Presenter of the year at Kavitha Talent Competition 2013, conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education among all universities in Sri Lanka.


Vihara Peiris , a special degree holder on Accounting and finance in Plymouth University UK. She had been a debater from 2006 to 2013 and she had been the team captain since 2010 – 2013 at Sri Sumangala girls’ school Panadura.


Ishara Jayawickrama an undergraduate of the University of visual and performing arts, department of western music. A saxophonist in national youth orchestra and Colombo wind orchestra. A qualified candidate of western music theory, piano and saxophone in IWMS (local), Trinity college (London), Royal college (London).

Daushala Lekamwasam, an undergraduate of the University of Visual and Performing Arts majoring in Western Music. She is a Member of The Shakespeare Centre Sri Lanka, Former member of the National Youth Orchestra and Choir instructor of Kalutara Balika Vidyalaya. She has completed Vishard in Instrumental – Violin.

Nawoda Sandamali Gajaweera is a graduate of University of Visual and Performing Arts (faculty of Music), Colombo. She is mastering North Indian music and a vocal trainer and singer who loves to work with children.
