Nalaka Swarnathilake, Founder and Director of Whyteleafe Academy who is the creator behind popular children’s teledramas Dangamalla and Anne. He excels as a director, script-writer and producer in multiple media like Radio, Stage and Television. Nalaka was a journalist by profession before he starts Whyteleafe Academy. He is a visiting lecturer at Sri Lanka Foundation Institute for journalism, training, coaching and leadership courses. He is the author of “Obe Watinakama Wadi Karaganna”, which is the first book about event management in Sinhala.

Harshika Ratnayake, a Lecturer at University of Kelaniya and a well-known choreographer who has mastered several dancing styles. She has choreographed professional theatre productions and holds workshops across the country.

Suchintha Weerawardana, a Dancing and Sinhala teacher by profession works at Colombo International School. She also worked as a Dancing and Drama teacher in the senior section of Musaeus College from 1998 to 2007. Suchintha has Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Kelaniya and she is a holder of a Diploma in Drama and Theatre and Child Psychology at the National Institute of Education.

Arundathi Koliyabandara is an award-winning presenter who works as a Researcher at Department of Chemistry, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She holds B.Sc. (Hons) Environmental Management and Forestry, Dip in IT and E- commerce. Currently she works as a freelance presenter on Derana TV and National Lotteries Board. Arundathi was awarded as the Best Presenter of the year at Kavitha Talent Competition 2013, conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education among all universities in Sri Lanka.

Daushala Lekamwasam, a graduate of the University from the Visual and Performing Arts University, Colombo majored in Western Music. She is a Member of The Shakespeare Centre Sri Lanka, Former member of the National Youth Orchestra and she has completed Vishard in Instrumental – Violin. Daushala also has a Diploma in Theory of Music from the University of West London-UK. She is capable of playing many instruments such as Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, French horn, Violin, Guitar and Piano as well.

Rebeccah Shalom is a passionate musician, singer, composer, and a lyricist. She a Graduate of the Visual and Performing Arts University – Colombo majored in Viola (Western Music). Rebeccah is a Harmonium competition winner and has achieved places in composing melodies, singing and playing keyboard in National Youth Competition. She is also an expert in playing many instruments including Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Violin, Viola, Percussion, Harmonium and she is gifted in playing guitar and viola both hands.

Shameni Jayasooriya is a French teacher by profession in an International school. She worked as a lecturer in French at Virtual Language Academy and worked in the International organization of AIESEC for 3 years where she handled projects with foreign aiesecers all around the world. Shameni has a First class degree in French at University of Kelaniya, a diploma in International Relations at BCIS and another diploma in Business and Human Resource Management at IMBS Green campus.

Manelka Perera is a passionate musician and an undergraduate of the University of the Visual and Performing Arts. She has a Diploma in piano performance and Music Theory from London College of music.

Navoda Wijedeera is a Western music teacher by profession working at The Colombo International School. Navoda has a Bachelor of Music (special) degree from the University of Visual and Performing Arts.

Tiara De Mel is a dedicated young talented individual who has a passion to study music along with different instruments (Piano, Guitar, Flute, and Ukulele) and enjoying herself as a teacher in understanding a pupil’s mentality. She is currently reading for her Piano recital.

Senuli Liyana Arachchige is an undergraduate of the Visual and Performing Arts University and she also successfully completed the Grade 8 Trinity Exams in Piano.

Kanishka Balasuriya is a final year undergraduate in university of Kelaniya, who’s specializing in Japanese language.  She has been to Japan for a home stay program in 2017 and is also a N3 level holder in Japanese language proficiency test.

Nishel Kannangara is qualified in IWMS Grade 7 in theory, practical and senior certificate. She also has completed grade 7 Trinity London in theory, practical and reading diploma. Nishel is the Instrument coach for Kalutara Balika Vidyalaya.

Malindi Hidellaarachchi is an Undergraduate of University of Kelaniya, and she worked as French and English teacher at JMC International School. Currently she is handling the English Literature section of our Academy.

Krishanie Jayathissa is a western music teacher by profession who works at an international school. Krishanie has Bachelor of performing arts degree from University of the visual and performing arts Colombo and she also successfully completed the Grade 8 Trinity London for Classic Guitar. 

Nisansala Rajasinghe is a teacher by profession who work at a School. She has also worked as a professional editor and producer in the A Plus TV and Channel C from 2019. Nisansala has a Bachelor of Performing Art’s degree from university of Visual and Performing Arts. Currently she is pursuing her Master’s degree at the University of Colombo.                          

Shashikala Herath is an Undergraduate at the University of Visual and Performing Arts.  She also is a 1st violinist in the National Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Orchestra
